When you choose to visit Resilient Foot (Ivan Maestre Podiatrist) , we are required to collect and store some personal identifiable information about you, such as your name, date of birth, contact details, and address. This enables us to provide medical treatment and advice. We will also need to keep a brief medical history for you, as well as a record of any treatments we provide.
You will be asked to provide this information on your first appointment, and our staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We are required to keep this information for 8 years following the completion of treatment in adults. For children, the information is retained until the patients 25th birthday, or 26th birthday if the patient was 17 at the conclusion of treatment.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

This may include the following people: General Practitioner – We may need to update your GP on your medical condition. Other Health Professional – if you need to be referred to another Health Professional, we may need to provide them information of previous treatments. Foot orthoses lab- We may need to provide them some relevant information in order to have your foot orthoses manufactured. This will be discussed with you prior to information being shared.
Government ,law enforcement ,public agencies or officials,agencies, regulators, and any other person or entity that has the appropriate legal authority where we are legally required or permitted to do so, to respond to claims, or to protect our rights, interests, privacy, property or safety
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Manual written data and consultation forms/notes will be kept in a locked filing cabinet.
Due to the nature of the business, patient notes may be transported from clinic to clinic in a locked rucksack, depending on the location of patient´s choice.
If an issue arises in which a customer is unhappy with the way their data or information is being held or used, please inform a member of staff and this can be resolved in a timely manner. Each individual also has the right to complain to the ICO if they think there is a problem with the way the data is be handled.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Resilient Foot (Ivan Maestre podiatrist) has a process in place in the unlikely event that any personal data has been breached. This includes accidental or deliberate breaches of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or, or access to personal data.
